Final Project pre-shooting paperwork fun

We begin shooting NYC:2050 on Thursday, and go Thursday-Sunday and hopefully get most of it out of the way, besides lots of archival footage and random b-roll to continuously shoot in different weather conditions. The script has been back and forth with us about 6 times now, and I’m feeling pretty good about it. The cast is lined up, and despite being Australian, have excellent American accents. I’ve attached page one of storyboards above.

I haven’t had much luck with experts, as only 1 of 4 have gotten back to me (and I think 1 in 6 including the ones David tried to contact), but since food systems was our most pressing need about what the future would look like, Stefani was tremendously helpful in that regard. We’ve read so many books and articles about sea levels and temperature rises, we think that we have that accurately reflected. I’ll keep trying to contact people, but they won’t really be influencing the script at this point…though they could help with extra features.

I’ve also had a bit of fun in the retro theme, with a daily practice (inspired by Denny’s memes), to take those someecards photos I see shared online and filling them out like people in 2050.

Here are a few:

They’re bad. I don’t like them after posting them. I’ll leave the comedic memes to Denny.

Short entry…have to go back to the script!

You would have to make them, like you did, to find out you don;t like them, so I applaud you. i think they could be interesting – but the nostalgia neutralizes whatever ironic comment you insert – the twee old timey ness reduces them to weak irony, no matter what you say.
